the latest wishlist

1. Leah Goren's alphabet print- I want this framed and hanging in my apartment!

2. I feel like these are the perfect amount of ugly & cool and I want them. The babouche slides from Need Supply in lilac.

3. I know I'm not the only one completely intrigued by everything Glossier. These guys have been getting rave reviews & I really want to try it out for myself.

4. The latest Kinfolk. The Essentials Issue- it just sounds TOO GOOD. I actually have a reading list right now. This rarely happens. Kinfolk is on top. Followed by Miranda July's collection of short stories (I recently read her latest novel and loved it) and The Girl on the Train.

5. This tie-waist shirt. Basically, I need more clean + simple summer shirts.
6. Either pair of these NO.6 clogs. Cement + Mocha or Naked.

 7. Stripes!

8. NARS blush in the popular and universally flattering orgasm shade

Also on my list is Cold Spring Apothecary's Sweet Basil spring candle. and candles in general.

Also definitely need a good pair of denim shorts.

On Scent

Big news, everyone. I think I've found my scent. After years of floral-y perfumes by Marc Jacobs, Chloe, and Viktor & Rolf (to name a few), I think it's safe to say that my scent palette has shifted.

I've moved onto a more unisex scent- woodsy and spicy. At first I fell in love with this one by Miller et Bertaux. It's called "Oh, ooOoh...Oh" and it's made up of bitter orange zest, absinthe, cedar, sequoia, dried herbs, leather, wood smoke and musk. It was perfect and Parisian. But... it was also close to $150, which is totally and completely a luxury buy and not one that I can afford at this point. Sad. :(

Yesterday, I found myself in Aesop on Newbury St. and was introduced to their Marrakech Intense Eau de Toilette. I tried it on in store and was given a sample to take. I'm wearing it right now and it's SO darn beautiful.

It's made up of clove, sandalwood, and cardamom. On their website, Aesop describes Marrakech as a "woody oriental blend balanced by fresh floral top and heart notes, with a hint of the animalistic." Of course, all scents sit differently because of body chemistry, and for me, this one is definitely leaning towards the spicy side. I love it so much. It stands at $79, which I think is appropriately priced. THIS IS THE ONE, GUYS!

However, I also want to give a shout-out to this little guy:

This is a perfume oil by MCMC Fragrances. We sell their perfumes + candles where I work so I am familiar with their work and it's really impressive. All small batch and done right in Brooklyn. The one pictured above is a specialty scent (MCMC x MOCIUN) made up of neroli flower, petitgrain, amber, and white musk. Neroli is definitely a unique scent... I think it's one of those things that you'll love or hate when you are first introduced. I happen to love it. This is my second choice, if I ever feel like being very generous and loving to myself...

MY NEED SUPPLY CO. WISHLIST

Need Supply Co. has been one of my favorites for a while now. When their prices seem a little daunting (although it's really a range) I love to browse...and strictly browse. And sometimes, I splurge. These are on the top of my list right now:

1. Human Being Journal because I admire the human being on the cover
2. Toyblocks calender for 2015
3. "Oui Oui" In God We Trust Necklace. (IGWT was the first brooklyn shop I ever visited, back in high school. It's been a while.)
4. Commodity GOLD perfume. I recently did their try at home kit and this scent stuck out to me.
5. Long Hook Earring. Minimalistic and pretty.

SIMPLICITY

1. Still thinking about a natural colored leather bag that wears with time to a nice honey color. This bucket bag from Na Nin or this one that I've been eying forever would do the trick.
2. Simple ginger lip balm. Citrusy goodness.
3. Lavender & Thyme candle- two of my favorite scents in one place.
4. MOM JEANS. Because hey, they're flattering.
5. I'm slowly realizing that I need a pair of sneakers. I don't own a single pair! What's better than a classic pair of Vans? These babies are from Need Supply Co.
6. Another classic I don't own. A trench coat!
